Award-winning Yorkshire-based artist Tracy Savage draws her inspiration from the Yorkshire coastline and landscape. Her paintings are bursting with subjects she finds fascinating; capturing the imagination with her dramatic and individual style
Born in 1963, Tracy graduated from the West Surrey Institute of Art & Design in 1988 with a B.A.Honours Degree in Fine Art. She worked for several years in the print industry and then later in education.
Since opening her studio and pottery to the public in 2005 Tracy’s paintings are proving to be a great success and the open studio has provided the East Yorkshire coast with a ‘gem’ of a visitor attraction. ‘My paintings are concerned with subjects that intrigue me – from the design of landscape to story like imagery; I like to create places for the onlooker to escape to – away from daily reality.’
