Stanley Bird studied at Glasgow School of Art and now lives in Edinburgh. After pursuing a successful Law career, Stanley returned to painting full time in 2010.

He works with a bold palette to create vibrant images inspired by the natural world- images that are energetic, fun, and that seize the imagination.

Stanley works mainly in acrylics and mixed media and his work ranges from larger scale portraits of animals-both in monochrome and colour to smaller more intimate, mixed media paintings.

He has exhibited at The Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts, Paisley Art Institute and The Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour.
