Robert Ryan

Robert was born in Glasgow, 1956 and trained as a metal worker and stained glass artist.

Between 2006-2009, Robert lived in Australia and travelled to Asia, Indonesia and New Zealand, where he was inspired by the extraordinary colours and materials he experienced.

Robert’s current mixed media work involves applying paint and lacquer to glass, then utilising various elements such as metals, crushed stone and shell to create layers of remarkable colours, depth and texture.
