Leon Anderson

Leon Anderson is a Scottish painter based in South Queensferry. He merges his love of dogs and other animals with 17th and 19th century portraiture to create playful works that are filled with character. He paints using oils, paying close attention to every detail, with each work displaying a sense of the animal’s personality and a touch of humour.

A self-taught artist, Leon began his career with commission work in 2016. From there, he has created a body of distinctive work that has been featured in a range of galleries in Edinburgh.

Leon has exhibited his work with great success in the Edinburgh Art Fair, The Kimpton Hotel, and 24 Royal Terrace. He still regularly completes commissions for clients based all over the world.
