James McIntosh Patrick

James McIntosh Patrick OBE; LL.D; RSA was born in Dundee in 1907, and studied at Glasgow School of Art. He became one of the most popular and celebrated Scottish artists of his generation. Works by McIntosh Patrick are included within many municipal, corporate and major collections throughout the World, including The Tate Gallery and the Royal Family.

In 1997, a series of major retrospective exhibitions were held around the UK to celebrate the work of this remarkable artist, regarded by many as the finest British Landscape painter of the 20th century.
