Paula Deas | Ebb & Flow
Paula Deas debut solo show at Eduardo Alessandro Studios launched Spring 2024 with her ‘Ebb & Flow’ exhibition.
A true celebration of the shores of the North East coast of Scotland, this collection of works depicts local scenes including the silvery sands of Carnoustie beach, the rock pools of Westhaven and the vast shores of the Tay and Broughty Ferry. Capturing the ever-changing and atmospheric weather surrounding our coastal landscape Paulas works vary from fiery sunsets to tranquil havens.
We are so proud to be showing the works of an artist who hails from our local community and is so inspired by the landscape found on our doorstep.
Paula Deas is an artist from the East coast of Scotland. Now based locally in Carnoustie, her work is heavily inspired by the sea and the movement of water.
Working with oils on canvas, Paula explores varying textures and markings using palette knives and paint brushes. Drawn to deep tones, she forms moody, atmospheric landscapes and seascapes capturing the wildness of nature’s elements.
Rendering the often-dramatic scenery of local stretches of coastline, Paula’s works will be recognisable to many here in Broughty Ferry.
