Lisa Houston | Coastal Reflections

Based on the edge of Loch Sunart, amidst Corbetts, glens, and lochs and not too far from the sea and Ardnamurchan Lighthouse, Lisa Houston is well acquainted with dramatic weather and scenery.

This August at EAS, we are thrilled to feature a collection of Lisa’s paintings that encapsulate the rugged landscape of her home on the west coast. For her and for so many who visit, this is a place filled with magic, and she is still finding new spots to explore and put to canvas. This collection is packed with such hidden gems, from the artist’s doorstep at Ardtoe to the dramatic skyline looking over towards the Uists.

What brings these works together is the unique quality of light that belongs so completely to this part of Scotland, something that has inspired Lisa’s work from the very beginning.
