Fiona Haldane | Time & Place

5 - 26 October

We are privileged to host ‘A Time and Place’, the latest major solo exhibition of new works by one of the most talented and celebrated pastel artists in Scotland, Fiona Haldane.

‘A Time and Place’ Is a celebration of Scotland’s spectacular scenery, Fiona takes us on a journey through some of her most cherished vistas across the Highlands, West Coast and closer to home on the River Tay Estuary.

“My inspiration comes from the natural tones and shades of the Scottish landscape. The different seasons give unique possibilities for composition, from the intense drama of the mountains and glens through to the calm open spaces and big skies of Scotland’s coastline. I always look forward to visiting both new areas of the countryside as well as those I love so well, such as Glen Coe and the Isle of Skye.”

“My chosen medium of pastels allows me to capture the soft colour changes of the scenery, plus its details and intense colour. As the light changes from moment to moment, day to day and season to season, opportunities for a landscape artist are constant and exciting. As I go forward, my love of pastels and all this medium can offer, increases with each new composition.” – Fiona Haldane
