Kirsty Joanna Doig’s dedication to her art has proven to be hugely successful, exhibiting her works both nationally and internationally since her degree in Ceramic Sculpture & Design in 2000 at Duncan of Jordonstone, Dundee.
Kirsty’s work often displays an anthropomorphic narrative, subtlety crossing the boundaries of human and animal forms to demonstrate that we connect on many different levels, expressing that ‘it is our physical embodiment, our environment, our culture & life experiences which shape us and make us be who we are’. Her work has an expressive and surreal style to it, demonstrating that both
Man and animals are not worlds apart, but very much interconnected. Her latest works are large ceramic individual hares and horse busts, which often display a variety of bronze patina finishes that are one of Kirsty’s signatures.
