Born Glasgow in 1947. Studied at Laurel Bank and then Glasgow School of Art, where she graduated in 1969 having specialized in Sculpture.
After training at Jordanhill College followed by a period of teaching, she was appointed Art Director of Glasgow Arts Centre.
Dronma has been a full-time painter for many years and a Tibetan Buddhist since 1976. The name Dronma derives from her Buddhist faith.
Known for her expressive landscapes of the Wester Isles and Highlands, Dronma’s work is characterised by bold colour and expressive, generously applied brush strokes which rank her amongst Scotland’s most distinctive colourist painters.
Dronma has exhibited at many prominent galleries including in Rotterdam and Vienna, and has works in private collections world-wide. She has previously staged joint show with Jean Feeney in 2010 at Eduardo Alessandro Studios and has participated in may of our group shows.
